	Compatible Canon PGI-5BK , CLI-8BK , CLI-8C , CLI-8M , CLI-8Y Chip replacement INSTRUCTIONS Compatible Canon PGI-5BK , CLI-8BK , CLI-8C , CLI-8M , CLI-8Y These compatible cartridges do not come with a replacement chip. You will need to remove the chip from your old Canon cartridge and insert it onto the compatible replacement cartridge. This is easy to do. Full instructions (with pictures) are included with the the product but in a nutshell here's how you do it. 1. Use a pair of long nosed pliers or eyebrow tweezers to grip the top edge of the chip and gently pull the chip from the locator pins until it comes free. IMPORTANT- ONLY CHANGE ONE CARTRIDGE AT A TIME AS THE CHIP IS COLOUR SPECIFIC AND WILL NOT WORK IF YOU PUT IT ON THE WRONG CARTRIDGE. 2. The chip is now free from the cartridge, discard the empty cartridge. 3. Insert the chip on to the new cartridge making sure it is the right colour. Line up the 2 locating pins on the cartridge with the 2 holes on the chip. 4. Gently press the top of the chip down so that it locates on the pins completely. Thats it, you're cartridge is now ready for use. 5. Install the cartridge and off you go. When the cartridge is empty, simply do the same again with a new cartridge.
