What are Compatible Ink Cartridges?
Compatible Printer Ink Cartridges are brand new replacement ink tanks which are not refilled and not made by the original equipment manufacturer (OEMs ) i.e. made by a third party manufacturer. They are available for many of the Epson, Canon and Brother inkjet printers. They are a copy of the original cartridge and are made to the same high standard. A compatible printer ink cartridge is specially engineered to meet the highest standards of quality, reliability and exceptional yields that meet or sometimes exceed that of the original printer cartridge and each compatible printer cartridge is manufactured 100% brand new. They also come with a micro chip fitted if applicable.
A compatible printer ink cartridge offers an economical alternative to the more expensive name-brand original printer ink cartridge. All compatible cartridges supplied by Print Clearly Ink & Media come with a full guarantee. We recommend that upon receipt of your compatible cartridges they should be stood the correct way up [the way they would be in the printer] for a short period of time to allow the ink to settle correctly.
What are Remanufactured Printer Ink Cartridges?
For certain brands i.e HP, Lemark, Dell, Samsung, Philips and Olivetti third party compatible cartridges are not available because the printhead (copper strip), which is an integral part of the cartridge, being patented. Where a compatible cartridge is not available we offer remanufactured printer ink cartridges. These are previously used Original printer Ink cartridges which have been re-cycled and then reprocessed (cleaned, refilled and electronically tested) by a third party manufacturer. By buying a remanufactured ink / laser toner cartridge you are helping reduce the number of ink cartridges / toners that are disposed in UK landfill sites
Used printer ink cartridges which have the printhead on them, are collected by schools, businesses, charities and individuals and are then sold to the remanufacturing companies. Each printer ink cartridge is remanufactured to a high standard. During the remanufacturing process each printer ink cartridge is disassembled, cleaned, refilled, (often with more ink than the original) and reassembled to provide a product that will meet very high standards in output quality and print life.
Once the recycling process is completed all printer ink cartridges are thoroughly print tested to ensure top quality printing. The availability of remanufactured printer ink cartridges is always subject to the availability of the used cartridges in circulation. Remanufactured printer ink cartridges provide a cost effective alternative to the original however they may not necessary produce the same quality as an original new cartridge if printing photos. They are recommended for general home printing. For high quality photo printing or use in an office environment we would recommend the use of original inkjet cartridges. The warranty on remanufactured printer ink cartridges is limited to 3 months from the date of purchase.
What are Remanufactured Laser Toner Cartridges?
Remanufactured Laser Toner Cartridges are available for many manufacturers depending on supply and demand but mainly available on HP, Brother, Canon, Samsung and Epson Laser Printers.
Remanufactured Laser Toners are toners that have been recycled and reprocessed from an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) empty core.
The process can differ considerably by manufacturer and materials used with varying results in quality and page yields. The remanufactured toners that we supply are produced to stringent quality control standards, using lab-tested components to ensure consistent OEM-equivalent performance.
We only supply remanufactured toners that have a reputation for Quality, Performance and reliability. The laser toner cartridges we sell are manufactured using the latest computer-controlled automated production methods and are produced in accordance with DIN 33870 and are manufactured and tested under ISO 9001-2000 Certified quality management system.
ISO 9001 is a family of standards and guidelines for quality in the manufacturing and service industries from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). ISO certification ensures that the processes that develop the product are documented and performed in a quality manner. This ensures that every aspect of development and production is constantly monitored and checked against stringent performance criteria.
The remanufactured Laser toner cartridges we supply are Branded Image Excellence or PrintMate both of which are Manufactured by Clover Technologies Group, www.clovertech.com/faq.asp
In the event that we do not have these brands in stock at the time of processing your order, and in an effort to provide a faster and more efficient service to our customers, we may source a product from an alternative manufacturer. Please rest assured that all remanufactured toner cartridges we provide are of an equal high quality and standard and manufacture.
What is the process?
A typical production process includes inspection and replacement of key components as needed such as the OPC (Organic Photo Conductor) drum, wiper blade, PCR (Primary Charge Roller) and magnetic roller. One of the most critical parts of a cartridge is the OPC Drum. Our supplier only uses new drums in their toner cartridges to ensure OEM equivalent results.
Further comprehensive details can be found at www.clovertech.com/10step.asp
Is a remanufactured toner inferior to a new one?
There should be no difference in print quality or page yield with a properly remanufactured toner cartridge. Our supplier’s toner cartridges contain only quality toners that work well with the OPC drum and other replacement parts to meet OEM performance.
What if I experience a print quality issue?
If a toner cartridge does not meet expectations, simply notify customer services and return the cartridge and a page sample showing the print quality problem in the box it came in - Return it for evaluation and replacement. Please refer to returns policy for details.
Will using remanufactured toner cartridges void my equipment warranty?
Law prohibits manufacturers from voiding their warranty obligations on the grounds that a consumer did not use the original manufacturer's replacement cartridge.
Am I really helping the environment by using remanufactured cartridges?
Absolutely. Each discarded cartridge adds approximately three pounds of unnecessary waste to our landfills - waste that will take as long as 1,000 years to decompose. It is estimated that 100 million laser and printer cartridges and 400 million inkjet printer cartridges are produced each year. Remanufacturing these 500 million cartridges will save an estimated four million cubic feet of landfill space. The office products remanufacturing industry has already made a substantially positive impact on the environment and the economy and will continue to do so.
